Fair Energy Transition

Direct 

• Contribution to expanded access to clean energy: SEOS’ work facilitates the adoption of clean energy solutions in Colombia by households, condominiums, and micro-businesses, mobilizing the system joining consumers, installers and financing. Up to date, solar projects have been realized with 45 clients through the SEOS platform unlocking 390,000 US dollars in residential solar financing and generating more than 150,000 US dollars in yearly electricity bill savings.
• Promotion of productive activities, formalization and growth of installer enterprises: by providing technical and commercial training to installer companies and a centralized solution, SEOS promotes the formalization and growth of solar installers in Colombia. Currently, 60% of the financed projects are SMEs and 17% of partner companies are women-led. This aligns with SEOS’s gender inclusion policies and programs, which are also supported by the Colombian Solar Energy Association, where SEOS is part of the founding committee for the gender vertical.

Indirect

• Contribution to the decarbonisation of Colombia, avoiding CO2 emissions: Through the SEOS platform, 451kWp has been installed, generating an estimated production of 697,77 MWh of clean energy per year, that contributes to avoid the emission of over 107,4 tonnes of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of more than 4800 trees.
