LIC Sustainable Solutions is a multinational enterprise with offices in Europe and Latin America. The company develops, designs, produces, and executes energy efficiency projects, primarily focusing on smart cities and intelligent street lighting.
LIC is executing a public lighting modernization project in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. This campaign aims to fund this project further.
This is LIC's seventh campaign. The promotor first successfully raised 500.000€ in Smart City Lighting I and II, for a similar project in the municipality of Villavicencio, where 6.000+ LED luminaires were successfully installed improving the quality of lighting of a large part of this municipality.
In May 2023, the promotor was contracted by EMCALI, a local Cali service provider, to start supplying sustainable and efficient LED street lighting luminaires to replace the old, polluting, and inefficient sodium system. The project included the installation of 14.000 smart LED luminaires in the city of Cali, which hopes to become a Smart City and was funded by the two Goparity campaigns amounting to 500.000€ ( Smart City Lighting III and Smart City Lighting IV).
The promoter's contract with EMCALI was subsequently extended, with an order for a further 7.000 luminaires (out of a total order of 15.523 luminaires, representing a value of approximately 2.9M€), which were partially funded with 650.000€ through the campaign Smart Street Lighting V, and VI and will be additionally funded through the present campaign.
The luminaires are ready to be integrated into a smart city, working as a wireless communication base. In the last three years, the company supplied more than 20,000 luminaires to different municipalities in Colombia.
